- Kris Thompson, Project Manager, Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, says Storey County officials are concerned similar legislation will surface during the 2025 Nevada Legislature that would draw off county tax revenues when state-approved tax abatements end. He says they heard there is a move by a small faction in Northern Nevada to divert the tax revenue coming into Storey County to the state, adding, “obviously that’s a major issue and it is punishing success.”
