"Domestic violence is something that destroys the fabric of our communities."

- Wes Duncan, Sparks City Attorney, says they were seeing increased incidents of domestic violence in the presence of children and wanted to lead as a city and pass an ordinance that prevents and criminalizes that type of behavior. He shares an example that came out of his recent safer Sparks tour where they were able to better learn what’s actually going on in the city, and out of it, prosecute the case and stand up for both the victim and children in our community.
